Rope Task, a UK-based leader in rope access and high-level rigging solutions, has successfully executed a series of large-scale Tifo lifts at three of the UK’s most renowned football stadiums: Aston Villa’s Villa Park, Manchester United’s Old Trafford, and Sunderland AFC’s Stadium of Light.
Working in collaboration with a leading German Tifo manufacturer, Rope Task was responsible for the safe and precise rigging and deployment of enormous fan banners — known as Tifos — during major European and domestic fixtures. These impressive visual displays are becoming increasingly popular as clubs seek to enhance fan presence and atmosphere on matchdays.
Utilising advanced rope access systems, Rope Task’s experienced technicians overcame each stadium’s complex architecture to deliver seamless and visually stunning installations. The team’s work ensured that each banner was deployed safely, on time, and in perfect synchronisation with the clubs’ pre-match moments.
